Curriculum Overview

Living “Life in All Its Fullness”

At Birchanger C of E Primary School, our curriculum is rooted in our Christian vision of Life in All Its Fullness (John 10:10). It nurtures every child to flourish academically, spiritually, socially, and creatively, helping them become confident, compassionate, and resilient individuals.

Our approach is guided by the 4Bs — Believing, Being Our Best, Being Creative, and Belonging — which shape what we teach and how we support every child to reach their full potential.

Believing - we encourage children to explore faith, reflect on big questions, and develop moral integrity. Pupils grow in spiritual awareness, hope, and respect for themselves and the beliefs of others.

Being Our Best - we foster high aspiration, resilience, and perseverance. Children are challenged and supported to achieve excellence in learning, character, and personal growth.

Being Creative - creativity is celebrated across the curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to imagine, problem-solve, and express themselves, developing curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence.

Belonging - we build a nurturing and inclusive community where every child feels valued, safe, and connected. Through collaboration, service, and celebration, pupils develop a strong sense of identity, responsibility, and active citizenship.
