Get digging!

Nature garden

Recently we have been really lucky to have received a huge amount of support from our local charity Human Roots who have helped us to rediscover our nature garden. Teams of volunteers from the charity were joined by volunteers from Stansted Airport and the school to help to transform it into an exciting space to relax and learn.

The garden had become overgrown

Our first job was to level the site.

We left important plants including trees and did our best to keep our wildlife.

The garden was pretty but inaccessible for the children.

The volunteers worked hard.

A new arbour has been put up.

We were lucky to have so much muscle power!

We wanted a bug hotel to encourage wildlife.

We have also worked on the pond

This muddy area is ready for the next stage when we plant up the garden.

The pathways have been established and give a shape to the garden now.

We have recycled as much as we can
