School uniform at Birchanger
At our school we use the colours grey and blue. We believe that wearing the school colours shows our identity as a school. The uniform can be bought from Fosters School Wear who are our uniform suppliers. This can be ordered online or purcahsed at their shop.
We understand that our families may wish to purchase uniform elsewhere and most supermarkets supply the colours for our school. We also run a uniform exchange where parents can donate or borrow unfiorm. Once a child has outgrown uniform from the exchange, we ask that parents return it to us and then they are welcome to borrow more.
Our uniform is flexible so that summer dresses may be worn when the weather is warm which can be at the start of the new year. Winter uniform may be worm throughout the year if a child is comfortable to do so. If we feel that your child is too hot or too cold in class we will offer them an alternative item of clothing, if we have one, and then we will let you know.
We ask children to are PE kit on the days where PE is taught. This reduces the time spent changing and it lead to less lost uniform.
When we find uniform around the school we will check to find a name so that it can be returned to the child. Where uniform is not named, it will go into lost property where it wil be kept for a week before going to the uniform exchange.
